Isla Cabrera Mallorca Private Day Yacht Charter
Cabrera Island Mallorca Yacht Charter
These trips are offered only as a Private Charter
Explore this beautiful nature reserve from sea and land! The un-inhabited Island of Cabrera is regarded as the gem in the Balearic Islands collection, a secluded uninhabited island about 8 miles off the southern-most tip of Mallorca. A former French prison colony with a 17th century castle and an interesting historical past, it is now a protected nature reserve on land and the surrounding coastal sea zone.
We offer the option of a yacht charter starting in either of two locations depending on our bookings.
Cala d'Or to Cabrera
Sailing to Cabrera from Cala d'Or takes 5 hours; along the way we usually stop for a swim in Cala des Marmoles or Cala Mondrago along the way. Dolphins regularly swim alongside on our way to the Island. Once in Cabrera, it’s time for swimming and there is also an opportunity to go ashore by Zodiac and explore the island. A delicious Barbecue lunch and open bar is provided as well as snacks later in the day. After lunch we will sail to the Cueva Azul, a beautiful underwater cave where it is possible to swim and dive in a location of extraordinary beauty.
Start Time: 09.00
Return Time: 22.00
Colonia St. Jordi to Cabrera
For this yacht charter we transfer the boat to Colonia St. Jordi the night before and meet you at the harbour for the 2.5 hour day sail to Cabrera Island. The program is the same as above, except we bring you back to Colonia St. Jordi. The benefit here is if your group prefer a shorter time on board. In addition, the prevailing wind is favourable for this sailing direction.
Start Time: 10.00
Return Time: 20.00
Moorings at Cabrera are restricted, reservations need to be made in advance.
